Paintings 2025

I develop a visual language that merges cosmology, mythology, and figuration into a complex symbolic system. Rooted in my Central American heritage, my work draws inspiration from pre Hispanic epigraphy and pictographic traditions, which I reinterpret within a contemporary and expansive cosmic framework.

Through the creation of a personal symbolic vocabulary, I transform references to ancestral cultures into dynamic compositions that explore ideas of origin, transformation, and interconnectedness. My paintings function as spaces where time collapses and where myth and science coexist, allowing ancient symbols to enter into dialogue with concepts drawn from astronomy and contemporary thought.

Gestural, vibrant, and layered, my work reflects ongoing investigation into the construction of meaning through form, color, and symbol. Influences from modern and contemporary painting inform my approach, yet the resulting language remains distinctly my own, driven by an interest in energy, movement, and visual density. My paintings invite the viewer into an open interpretive field rather than a fixed narrative. By combining cosmic imagery with culturally rooted symbols, I propose a universal yet deeply personal reflection on humanity’s place within larger systems of knowledge, memory, and imagination.
